So, this is the Writer’s Club Webpage. You might expect to find some information about who we are and what we do and how you can join, but you won’t. Why? Because Writer’s Club isn’t about all of that. We aren’t about dull meetings with agendas, executive decisions, mandatory attendance, grade requirements, or any aspects of the bureaucratic mess that usually comes with running a student organization. The truth is we aren’t really an “organization” at all. Writer’s Club is just an organic gathering of people from all walks of life who love literature. Or people who love to write. Or people who just think writers are really attractive. Either way, we all have a common interest.

Why should you come to Writer’s Club? If you have any interest in creative writing, you should come. If you haven’t written anything in two years besides a reminder to buy cheese or beer, but still inexplicably consider yourself a writer, you should come. If you are scared that random people will think your poetry sucks and you will look stupid in front of a bunch of experienced and talented writers, you are sorely misguided, and you should come. I mean, come on. You didn’t come to this website by accident. Something about us sparked your interest, and that’s why you made it past the first paragraph.

Writer’s Club meets on Thursdays at 7 P.M. in Founders Hall 190A (The Lindsay Cropper Creative Writing Center). That is, unless we don’t. You might want to send me an e-mail first to find out exact meeting times. And who am I, exactly? Well, I guess you’ll just have to find out.
